I
Our Farrier Work for Dressage, Hunters, Jumpers
|
|

This Dressage Warmblood is
sound for work with a
special pad that has tread
grips for frog traction and
a custom silicone mold
contouring his sole.
|

Here is a Show Jumper
benefiting from having her
shoes fit slightly back,
under the toe. This encourages
the toe to grow at a proper
angle & prevents distortion. |
|

This Jumper was lame due to a limb length disparity and
hoofwall damage. I floated the damaged area (left hoof)
and she now wears pads of differing angles to balance her.
|

This Horse was fit very tight
by a previous Farrier.
This resulted in
contracted & keratinized yellow horn.
I fit him properly, relieved
the tension, & he is sound.
|
|

This Dressage Arab had some
sore heels and a negative
palmar angle, so we opted for a
shock absorbing wedge pad
with a Vettec liquid silicone
gel pour-pad (in purple).
|

This Show Jumper is doing great
this season!
Look at the fit and polished finish of her Aluminum Shoes.
This is achieved with proper hoof prep & hot
fitting. |
|

This Warmblood Stallion has ideal conformation.
I always take care to buff away & remove
any
hoof wall flares. Aesthetic and Functionally
Sound!
|

Here is a Hunter Warmblood who performs very
well
in the Mustad Equi-librium
Shoe. It has a convex curve
for ease of breakover and the
clips prevent shear forces.
|
|

Here is a Dressage Holsteiner who is
going well with
a European style Toe Clip and
Extended Heels. He is fit
wider to encourage fluid-like movement in the
arena.
|

This Mare is training as a 3-Day Event
Competitor.
She benefits from full tread & light weight
Aluminum.
These are the Special Triumph Performance
Shoes.
|
|

This Dressage competitor is
wearing Equilibrium shoes
with Leather Wedge Pads. His
soles were coated in
a liquid super soft pour-in pad (Vettec
Equi-Pak Soft).
|

This guy damaged his hoof wall
during a trailer ride.
I was able to float the area to encourage healthy
growth.
He is doing much better in
training with wide web shoes.
|
|

This Grand Prix Jumper has some bouts of
arthritis, but he
is doing great in a custom pad
package of a Vibram
shock absorbing pad and
a leather wedge pad. |

These are the new Trail Edition Hoof Boots by
Easy Care. I can measure and suggest the right
boots for your needs and your Horse's conformation.
|
|

Here is a Dressage Stallion who wears wide
web shoes
with toe clips. The wide web
allows for floatation and
ease of movement. A nice way to encourage
fluidity!
|

Here is a Jumper who needed some balancing.
When we met, he was shod poorly
and interfering, but
I was able to correct this by forge-modifying his shoes.
|
|

When we met, this Fox Hunter required
complete
hoof rebuilding and acrylic-kevlar
reconstruction. His
hoofwall has since grown to reveal
healthy, strong hoof.
|

This Horse was constantly losing shoes with
the
previous farrier. We shaped and fit his
shoes properly,
and beveled the edges nicely. No lost shoes
here!
|
|

This Arabian stallion is used extensively for endurance
riding. I selected the Glue-on SoundHorse Nail-less
Aluminum
Shoes and dyed the cuff to match the hoofwall.
|

This is a Hind Hoof from a Winter Draft-Cross Horse.
Borium provides a Winter Package to allow
Carriage
Horses to keep their footing on icy grounds.
|
|

As seen on this WB Mare, I carefully restore
balance and align weight
distribution to your horse's
hooves using proper & precise
shoeing techniques. |

This Dressage Gelding was
having lameness issues due
to collapsed heels & navicular
changes. He's doing well in
custom made, rockered Banana
shoes with a wedge.
|
|

This horse was laminitic in her front right hoof, but
has since recovered quite well. She was shod with
Heart-Bars while healing; she now goes Barefoot.
|

This TB Gelding was prescribed
Therapeutic Bar
shoes
to address his intermittent lameness
resulting from
chronic heel pain in his hinds.
He is now enjoying trails! |
|

We strive to make your Horse comfortable and
pain free.
This guy has caudal heel problems, but he is
comfortable
and confident in a custom-made silicone
impression wedge.
|

Performance shoeing should look good and feel
good
for your Horse. A great fit and
finished is achieved by a
skilled Farrier working with a
well behaved Horse.
|
|

Here is a Show Jumper who is
doing very well this circuit!
You will see her and her rider enjoying the
competition
and show at the Wellington Equestrian
Festival!
|

This is another lovely
Wellington WEF Jumper!
She has her hooves packed with
Equi-pak liquid pour-in
pads for sole protection and
concussion reduction. |
|

This Dressage Horse is wearing the same shoeing
package as previously worn by Steffen Peters and Ravel.
These are
Epona shoes, known for their shock absorption!
|

In working closely with your
Vet and Trainer,
your Horse can put his best
foot forward
and accomplish his greatest
challenges.
|
|

This Foundered Gelding is benefiting from an
Equipak CS custom pour-in pad (Gel Insole)
and an
Aluminum Heart-Bar shoe with a nice Rolled Toe.
|

Here is a Dressage Mare wearing shoes that
are set back
to address proper toe growth.
Also, the shoes are
fullered at the toe to
allow traction and good footing.
|
|

This Show Jumper stands like a perfect
Gentleman.
His owner and trainers have worked with him
so I could
give him my best work and he could stay
sound!
|

Here is a Jumper suffering from
Caudal Heel Pain.
She stays sound with EasyWalker
shoes and a No-Vibe
wedge pad. Her hooves are
packed with Vettec Sil-Pak. |
|

This Barefoot Trail Horse needed complete hoof
wall rebuilding and had a
quarter crack to be repaired.
I was able to reconstruct the
wall and the horse is sound!
|

Here is my Barefoot Trimming
Style. I carefully restore balance
and proper weight
distribution to your horse's hooves.
Please read more about Barefoot
Care in my FAQ section. |
|

This Dressage Warmblood
suffered from laminitis.
In working with Veterinarian,
we were able to intervene.
I made custom welded heart-bar
shoes for him.
|

This is a 30 year old Horse who rests his
legs on my
hoof stand. It's a nice way to keep arthritic
and injured
horses comfortable as they get their hooves
balanced.
