What you can expect from me...
-
I
return calls promptly and
honor my
appointments on-time. I do
not run
behind schedule often, but if I
do, I will always call you.
-
I will perform
superior quality work & allow
myself the time to complete my
scheduled work without overlooking
any detail of your Horse's needs.
I pride myself in that.
-
I
will gladly take the time to
answer your questions and attend
to your concerns.
Working with
your Veterinarian and Trainer
is part of my service
and encouraged for the best
results!
-
I will evaluate
your Horse's stance, gait, & hoof
condition as needed at our
appointment or consultation.
-
I will treat your
Horses with kindness and patience.
-
I will
follow-up
with you and
check in on your
horse to track improvements,
especially during times of
injury/illness. Your horse's
comfort and progress is very
important to me.
-
Our business
relationship is my privilege and I
will treat it as such.
No hidden
fees or obscure pricing. Not now, not ever.
What
I expect from you...
-
Please contact me
in advance if you cannot keep your scheduled appointment.
I appreciate 3-5 days of advance
notice. I respect you and
your time and I expect the same
of
you. For non-emergencies and
no-shows, a fee may be assessed. I
cannot work for anyone who
continually cancels appointments.
-
Please let me know
if you have acquired a new horse
or you no longer have a horse that
I am expecting to service. I
like to know what services I am to
perform so I can
block out enough
of my schedule for you. I like to
run an on-time service for all
clients.
-
Please call/email/text to update me on how your Horse
is doing during training &
performances.
Please relay anything that you or
your Trainer feel that I should
know. Our communication is an
important component in keeping
your Horse competitive.
-
Please have your
Horses caught/ready for me to
work. They should be reasonably
clean and dry
because wet and muddy
hooves are difficult to hold.
Please provide
solid ground &
power.
-
Please understand that
Payment
is due upon completion of service
unless prior arrangements have
been made. Acceptable
forms of payment include cash & checks.
-
After I perform my
work, I prefer to schedule our next
appointment. In doing so, your
horse is kept on a schedule that
benefits your horse's health and
it allows me to group my
appointments geographically to
reduce travel time & expenses. If you would like to arrange an
appointment at a later date, please allow a
1-week notice.
Untrained
Horses or Unruly Horse
Behavior...
-
I will not work on untrained or
unruly Horses without Trainer or
Veterinary intervention.
I
ask that your Horse is well
behaved and is accustomed to the
process - including standing for
services, readily giving the hoof,
and I do prefer hot fitting
of shoes, but it is not required.
-
If
your horse
is too energetic, no problem --
please lunge or work your
Horse before I arrive. For most
horses, this is usually all that
is needed. It is advised that you or your
groom pick out the hooves often and
help your horse learn the
process. :)
-
It
is very rare, but if I begin work
and I am unable to complete my
services
due to your
Horse's behavior or if it takes me an
extraordinary amount of time,
a training
or service fee may
be assessed. I value your time and
safety, I ask the same in return.

Hey, Did you know...???
"An estimated 80%
of equine lameness occurs within the hoof and
about 10% of horses will experience at least one
episode of lameness each year. This is an
excellent reason to hire a Professional Farrier
to work on your horses hooves. We are able to
reduce your down-time and vet bills by assuring
your horse is receiving consistent, proper, and
preventative hoof care."
